Guild Tour - Dying Sweet Cherry with Future Succession in Place

We're learning that as older trees die, it's a chance to thoroughly design the future succession that can replace their position. We've observed that killing the old tree / removing it is absolutely unnecessary and you can plant out a complex and resilient future under, around and in front of them as they slowly pass away. It's a chance to honor the life of an old being in the landscape and have the nutrients move from the tree that is passing away into the next set of life.
Our one sweet cherry in the yard will become 10+ trees of many families that are all filled with food, medicine and more!
