Tokyo's decision to remove Seoul from its whitelist will not result in direct embargoes or a drastic cut in exports.
But it will raise uncertainties for Korean companies.
That's according to a Goldman Sachs report on the potential effects of the trade dispute.
It was introduced to reporters by the Presidential office today.
The report says because South Korea and Japan are mutually dependent on trade,... the whitelist measure is unlikely to have a great impact on their trade activities.
But it explains Seoul could face some supply disruption,... while Korean firms will have to better manage their inventory in the long run.
And these uncertainties combined, could hurt private investment,... negatively affecting Korean business sentiment.
