Milky Way galaxy is warped and twisted, not flat. For anyone who known science and space, this will be no surprise. Space is very, very, very big. Galaxies move through it and are already turning and there are many other factors. Some galaxies even collide and ours will do so as well, in the distant future, with the Andromeda Galaxy in about 4.5 billion years time, so you don't have to panic about that either just yet, lol.
