PHILIPPINE NAVY FORMALLY RECEIVE BRP CONRADO YAP

The Philippine Navy (PN) formally received and welcomed into its service BRP Conrado Yap (PS39), an ex-Pohang-class corvette from South Korea, in Hand-Over and Commissioning Ceremonies at Jinhae Naval Base here this afternoon.

National Defense’s Assistant Secretary for Logistics and Acquisition Jesus Rey Avilla signed the transfer documents together with his South Korean counterpart Logistics Management Administrator Kim Soo Sam.PS39 was then commissioned into the active service of the PN right after the formal transfer.
