VW Polo 2013 dashboard adaptation using AVDI and ECU Authorization- Delphi DCM3.7

VW Polo 2013 dashboard adaptation using AVDI and ECU Authorization- Delphi DCM3.7 Hello Friends,

I hope you're all having a great summer!

A friend of mine called with a problem he's been dealing with for more than a month now. VW Polo 2013, damaged cluster, fitted another cluster and now the car does not start. Easy job, you take the immo data from the ECU and write it to the replacement cluster and program keys. Yes, but this is in case the ECU is supported for IMMO Data reading- in this case, it's a Delphi DCM 3.7 and no other tool on the market can read this data but AVDI. This is done by using the "ECU Authorization" function - it basically reads out the immo data from the ECU on such unsupported ECUs and authorizes them so they can be reflashed if necessary.

I took into action my AVDI together with my ZN051 DS-Box and a ProTag programmer and did everything for less than an hour. The most "tricky" part was to wire-up this ECU on bench and did read it as MED 17.2.5- they seem to use the same pinouts.

All I needed as software, was Abrites Diagnostics for VAG, AMS and the VN013- ECU IMMO III/IV Authorization license. Of course, I did program two keys after I adapted the cluster to the ECU.

Have a look at the video, let me know what you think of it and if you have any questions, just shoot. :)
