10 Watch Trends That Must STOP! Rant 2: Enthusiasts Shouldn't Do This Today’s video delivers on a promise to bring you the second part in a series of rants about watches. Last time I discussed 10 things that really frustrate, disappoint, and dishearten me about the watch brands themselves, but this time, I turn my attention to the watch enthusiast.

The goal is to better understand so that we can go on and raise awareness and further improve the greatest pastime a person can have. From misunderstandings about the hobby, history, and the progression of technology, to the negative side of social media, to the obsession with value retention over enjoyment, there’s a lot to discuss!

As with the previous video in this series, expect an appearance from the rambunctious, goat eating, Champagne guzzling super snob, Hugo Mountbatten. Join us for a light hearted chat about something we all care about and should enjoy so much more!

If you missed the last episode, we took a walk on the dark side and I discussed 10 things watch brands continue to get wrong, and as a watch enthusiast, trends that really drive me mad. From ghastly marketing practices, to wildly unrealistic entry-level classifications at Vacheron Constantin, to my beef with the Omega Speedmaster, there is quite a lot to talk about! Let’s not forget the controversial industry conspiracies, brands disconnected from reality, and of course, oversized, flashy Rolex watches. To watch it, click here:
