Email subject lines are like a headline. Their job is to get the attention of the reader, so that your email is read.
Writer’s block can hit you at anytime, so these will help. We all need inspiration from time to time.
*What’s in it for me? - What are people in our WAH niche struggling with or wanting to know more about? Getting leads and sign-ups. You can also prequalify a prospect this way. Give them a sneak peek to what’s in the email.
Example: I received an email that mentioned “How to increase engagement on Facebook.” I clicked right away. Why? Because I’m always open to learning new ways to do just at that, as are most online marketers.
*Free offers - provide a free checklist or template, etc. and mention it in the title. Everyone loves free things that can help them.
Example is “Your free trial is one click away or open to download your free weekly content marketing plan.”
*Urgency - we all respond to this technique in marketing, regardless of the type. We just don’t want to miss out. Infomercials are great at this when they show how much of the item is left for purchase.
Example would be, “act now or Only 3 spots left...” Don’t cry wolf though or people won’t believe you the next time you say it. Use sparingly.
*curiosity titles are great because your prospect must open the email to get the information.
Example- “You will benefit from opening this email.”
*Social proof: Show proof of results or progress.
Example of an email I received “$2,297 in less than a week.”
*Getting personal - Send an email that proves you’re real and not a robot. Send a truly sincere email offering some type of assistance or a free 15 minute consultation.
