How to approach a lioness on foot at a suspected den site

There are no firm rules on how to approach a den site as it all depends on the variables around the chosen area, but in this particular case it was necessary to search on foot as it had been unsuccessful from the vehicle. One morning, the Purple Eyed lioness had been seen on the LIVE Djuma waterhole camera, so it was a good opportunity for the experienced bush walk team to follow her fresh tracks to confirm if she did in fact have cubs in the area.
