I Focus on My Abilities not Disabilities | Moirangthem Sunita (Visually Impaired) | K-Talks

I Focus on My Abilities not Disabilities | Moirangthem Sunita (Visually Impaired) | K-Talks "I focus on my abilities not disabilities" said Moirangthem Sunita. She had suffered from Retinitis Pigmentosa since childhood. Most people with RP lose much of their sight by early adulthood. Then by age 40, they are often legally blind. In her school days, she got punished for not being able to cope up with school works especially in mathematics as she was having low vision. In her college days, she hadn't got to enjoy like any other girl in that age could have. During her college exam days, she used to ask her cousins , friends to read books for her. After marriage, her husband even left her thinking she would be a burden. She single handedly raised her son and daughter.
She said she had reached this stage amidst her numerous dark days just because she has been only focussing on her abilities not her disabilities. She doesn't let her disabilities disable her abilities.
