Hong Kong reporter gets hit by a petrol bomb

Hong Kong reporter gets hit by a petrol bomb Hong Kong’s public service broadcaster RTHK called for “calm and restraint on all sides” on October 6 after one of its reporters was hit by a Molotov cocktail in Wan Chai.

Footage of the incident shows the reporter being hit by flames as a Molotov cocktail flies overhead. The reporter is seen attempting to take off a plastic rain poncho and put out the flames, as people gather around him.

In a statement, RTHK said he suffered burns to one side of his face and “the journalist did not appear to have been the target for the Molotov cocktail.”
