PRODUCT COMPARISONS
Suavecito Firme Hold Pomade: I would argue that 1821 Pomade has a similar strength to Suavecito Firme. However, the greatest difference is that Firme dries into a hard, gel-like state that makes it impossible to restyle without water. Firme is also made with cheaper-quality ingredients and dries out the hair after rinsing it out.
Layrite Original Pomade: Layrite Original has way more give to it than Suavecito Firme or Original does, but it still does have some predictable gel-like qualities to it. 1821 has a notch more hold than Layrite original without drying as hard and crunchy by a long shot.
Shiner Gold Original Pomade: 1821 reminds me of Shiner Gold Original with a similar level of hold, but also easier to restyle and better quality of ingredients. I would also say that it endures better than Shiner Gold since it doesn’t rely on a bevy of chemicals to derive its hold from.
