Hundreds of activists marched through Peru's capital Lima on Saturday to denounce femicides and violence against women.
"It is essential that we remember dates such as November 25, which remind us that women continue to suffer from violence and that if we do not organize and go out and make our voices heard, we will continue to suffer," said Marisa Glave, former Congresswoman and women's rights activist.
On November 25 two years ago, the NiUnaMenos (Not One Less) movement brought tens of thousands of people to the streets of Lima to protest against violence towards women.
