As part of the Pagoda Projects Manchester Scholarship, Charlotte has been able to complete a PAID work placement in Taipei worth £1,495, and she has been able to do it for FREE. The scholarship is non-means tested, giving UK students and graduates who might not otherwise be able to, the opportunity to gain work experience in Asia.
All of the Pagoda Projects scholarships include a placement in your chosen sector, a salary during the placement, visa processing, pick up on-arrival in Taipei, a welcome orientation and introduction and 24/7 support throughout your time in Taipei.
In this video, Charlotte speaks about the support she received prior to her departure for Taipei, and how InternChina helped her to secure accomodation in a studio apartment at the beginning of her placement.
She also told us how the InternChina team have helped her settle in Taipei, and how she has been able to write and video about the tech industry in Taiwan in her placement, alongside other key marketing tasks.
One of her key highlights of the placement so far has been having the chance to put the theory she has learnt at university in to practice in the working world, and she loves being able to explore what Taiwan has to offer on the weekends when she is not working.
