Seidel positive sign - how to check for it at the slit lamp This patient has a history of globe rupture that was repaired
Unfortunately the wound is still leaking
Always use at least 1% fluorescein to examine the patient
You may need to apply gentle pressure to the globe
Be careful and examine the patient carefully
Sometimes this sign can be really subtle!

Traditionally people say to use 10% fluorescein but that's not always possible
So if you have at least 1% you should be able to see the sign as long as you look carefully
