A lot of you guys saw the big reveal of the Tesla CyberTruck last week and were blown away from the big show that Elon did. But that doesn't mean the reception was all positive! The reactions were very mixed, and to be totally honest, I felt the same way. I was actually on vacation enjoying some R&R with the wife so unfortunately I missed the live press release. However, once I got back to the states and got an internet connection, I was flooded by messages and dm's from you guys about the big day.
The crazy thing wasn't the price point, the towing capacity, even the window shattering. It was clearly the dissonance between expectation vs reality. What we thought we were going to get, and what was presented! Of course in a nutshell, we're talking about the style and design of the vehicle.
All that being said, I wanted to share my thoughts on the truck, the big reveal, and whether or not this is going to make PRACTICAL sense for contractors and folks like us! Yeah a $60,000 indestructible truck is cool, but does that translate over to the working man? Hard to say.
