Convicted unto Holiness TWO KINDS OF HOLINESS
1. The Nature of God
Scripture Reference: Hebrews 12:10
We are called to be partakers of God's nature. When you accept Jesus, you take on this nature and are called to be like Him.
2. Set apart unto God
Scripture Reference: Titus 2:3
This involves a person making a decision to be different. You must set yourself apart; separate yourself from the things or this world. You cannot talk the way you used to before you came to Christ, you cannot live the way you use to while you were in the world - there must be a difference.
Jesus said He would send the Holy Spirit, "
And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:". Our biggest problem is we do not listen to the Holy Spirit, we have grieved Him.
Today we are laying a new foundation. What is the foundation of God? Righteousness and justice. What is your foundation? There must be conviction.
When the Gentile woman came to Jesus crying out that He heals her child, Jesus replied saying the food on His table is only meant for His children, and not for dogs. The moment she responded, “Even dogs...”, Jesus had mercy on her for in that statement, there was a confession of sin.
