Installing A Window Mounted Air Conditioner In A Van

Air Conditioning a van is a tough subject to tackle. I really didn’t want to make a video about my air conditioning setup since it doesn’t work all that great, but I figured I might as well show you guys what I did and why it doesn’t perform as well as I’d like.

So yes, this is a detailed 25 minute video showing you how I installed a window mounted AC unit to the floor of my van. Riveting. Stuff.

I usually provide a list of materials and tools that I used during the build out process, but since this wasn’t a very successful way to cool the van I think it’s best you come up with your own way of air conditioning your unit.

If I was to put all the time it took to complete the air conditioning build for my van I would say it took somewhere around 3 days at eight hours per day. That’s with all the included help I had.
