More than 30 people were injured on Monday after a car ploughed into a carnival parade in the western German town of Volkmarsen, Bild newspaper said on Monday. Police confirmed the incident but said it was too early to say exactly how many people were hurt or whether it was an accident or the driver had deliberately rammed the car into the crowd.
"Unfortunately, we cannot rule out that it was done with intent," police spokesman Reiner Linger, police spokesman for the nearby city of Kassel, told Welt TV.
