Union leaders 'certainly looking after themselves' with 'exorbitant salaries'

Union leaders 'certainly looking after themselves' with 'exorbitant salaries' Macquarie Media's Michael Pachi says “clearly” the union members' contributions are “going into these exorbitant salaries,” as The Australian reveals more than 20 CFMEU officials earn over $220,000 a year.

The Australian is reporting emergency services union leaders are being paid the most out of the country’s union leaders, while more than half of the 59 unionists who declared annual salaries higher than $200,000 are from the CFMEU.

Fellow panelist and broadcaster Jim Ball told Sky News host Gemma Tognini the exorbitant salaries “give new meaning to the phrase looking after the worker,” because he said they “certainly are looking after themselves”.
