World Championships Biathlon 2020 15K Individual Women A serial biathlon winner

Ever since making her World Cup debut in 2009, Dorothea Wierer has been an exceptionally fast and incredibly accurate shooter. She's equally impressive whether performing in the standing or prone categories of biathlon and she’s a great all-rounder across the sport’s various disciplines of sprint, pursuit, individual, mass start and relays.

Dorothea scored her first World Cup general classification points in 2011. She dominated the Youth World Championships of the same year in Nové Město na Moravě, Czech Republic, where she won three gold medals in the sprint, pursuit and individual competitions, as well as a silver in the relay. And she’s been a force to be reckoned with for many seasons in the multi-event World Cup, having become the first Italian to win the competition outright at the end of the 2018-2019 season.
