Afghan Peace Deal: Trump's election promise forces a premature American withdrawal from Afghanistan

Afghanistan is a tough country to be in as both the Russians and Americans have learnt at their cost. The country remains highly unstable with only half of it currently under Kabul's direct rule, the other half entirely in control or keenly contested by the Taliban, who may soon rush into the power vacuum. This time enjoy Rudyard Kipling's poem on Afghanistan instead of our usual limerick.
