Numerous tips identify GameStop robber as Fairfield High School student FAIRFIELD, Ohio (WKRC) - Fairfield Police say they were able to identify an armed robbery suspect from numerous tips after posting surveillance photos online. He is a 17-years-old Fairfield High School student, so Local 12 is not naming him or showing the photos.

According to police, the teen went into the Gamestop on Dixie Highway on March 5 at about 10:15 a.m. When the clerk wasn't looking, he grabbed her around the neck and put a gun to her head.

The teen demanded the clerk load money onto two prepaid gaming cards that he brought with him. He also demanded cash from the registers and got $450. He took the store's wireless phone when he left.

After the photos were placed on the Fairfield Police Facebook page, detectives got calls from the Fairfield High School Resource Officer, a Fairfield High School security officer, several calls from parents of Fairfield High School students, a former teacher of his, and two former co-workers of the teen at LaRosa's, all identifying the suspect.

After learning a name, a detective spoke to the teen's parents and stepmother, all of who confirmed that he was the person in the photographs. The father also said he got a call from the high school to say his son wasn't in class.

The mother brought the teen in. He was wearing some of the same clothing seen on surveillance video. He is charged with aggravated robbery.
