Celebrations broke out in Ladakh after announcement of the scrapping of Article 370, and the proposal to accord a Union Territory status to the region. The bill, which has been passed by Rajya Sabha and will be tabled in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, envisions Ladakh as a Union Territory without a legislature, while the UT of Jammu-Kashmir will have a legislature.
