Allopathic medicine is excellent for identifying acute symptoms and treating them. But at times, it's not so good at treating chronic and terminal illnesses -- illnesses that don't have a universal cure. When a patient goes to multiple doctors and is told, "there is nothing we can do," the patient may then turn toward other forms of medicine. And I am so grateful that society is more accepting of complementary medicine. From a scientific standpoint, many of these techniques may not make much sense. However, the practitioner believes their method work, and the patient has faith that the method works. And sometimes a miracle can happen.
