Musical Tesla Coil (DRSSTC) demonstrated at OMSI for the 2019 Portland Mini Maker Faire. This clip is with a thin steel wire breakout point, which oscillates under electrostatic forces. (A small aluminum weight at the end dissipates enough heat to prevent the wire from melting.) The coil is 7' high, in an 11' wide by 13' high Faraday cage made of grounded aluminum poles and wire. The cage keeps arcs within a suitable range for this indoor space.
