Here is a cover of one of my favorite traditional songs, "Dink's Song". It is a simple song to play but I love it. It is a story song which was was first recorded in Texas by the musicologist John Lomax in 1908 when he heard a woman singing it while washing clothes along a river.
It has been recorded by many folk artists over the years including Pete Seeger and Bob Dylan but I first heard it on a Dave Von Ronk record.
That's my trusty Martin D-28 in the video.
