Hypothesis Testing (Exact Tests, t-test, Pearson's goodness of fit test) - STAT 121 Tutorial

Hypothesis Testing (Exact Tests, t-test, Pearson's goodness of fit test) - STAT 121 Tutorial In this tutorial, (the forth in a series of STAT 121 assignment videos), we use MATLAB to carry out several kinds of hypothesis testing. First, we use Pearson's goodness of fit test to further validate the model for our control data that we built in the assignment 3 video ( Then we perform an exact hypothesis test to determine if an environmental change appears to result in significant increases or decreases in the observed values of a hypergeometric random variable. Finally, we use a t-test to determine if the mean of a small sample of observed values of a hypergeometric random variable appears to be significantly larger or significantly smaller than the theoretical mean of the model distribution.
