Schooling a grumpy horse… | GoPro

Poor Magic’s buddies went out on a hack without him just as we were heading out to the school, so he spent the next 30 minutes being a grumpy boy, making it quite clear that he wasn’t happy about this schooling nonsense 😄 Luckily after our warm up he relaxed a bit and started concentrating - he ended up doing some nice work and by the end of the lesson, was switching bends with ease and feeling really supple! Exercises such as leg yielding and serpentines really help Magic to relax and bend his whole body - after the first couple of leg yields he was really starting to lift and round his back which was lovely to feel from him, as he’s quite good at tucking his head in without actually using his body. As an extra treat for the clever boy, his owner took him out for a little hack after our lesson, so he did still get to go out and about as he was hoping! ❤️
