Wesson for L.A. Supervisor: 'Searching for Doug' & 'Maybe This Time'

Wesson for L.A. Supervisor: 'Searching for Doug' & 'Maybe This Time' For LA City Council President Herb Wesson, the fight to end homelessness is more than policy. It's personal.

That's why he has been on the front lines of the battle to end homelessness and the housing affordability crisis. Most notably, he spearheaded LA’s emergency homelessness reduction plan to build thousands of new affordable housing units and homeless shelters, and provide necessary supportive services to those in need. Herb also served as the visionary behind LA’s first Comprehensive Homelessness Strategy, which successfully secured pledges from all LA City Councilmembers to build permanent supportive housing in their districts.

Herb also played a key role in helping to pass groundbreaking local measures H and Triple-H that allocated hundreds of millions of dollars a year to create new supportive housing and reduce homelessness in Los Angeles. Measure Triple-H funds alone will be used to build about 1,000 apartment units a year for 10 years.

As Supervisor, Herb won't give up on anyone – like a dad who loves his son.
