Hit & Run Crash Involving Audi R8 Sends Postal Truck Off Freeway In Exposition Park 01.27.2020 | 8:31 PM | LOS ANGELES - The driver and passenger of an Audi R8 that crashed into a postal truck forcing it to careen off a freeway fled on foot, Monday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a truck that flew off the I-110 after being rear-ended and landed near the intersection of 37th and Flower streets in the Exposition Park area around 8:31 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a postal service truck hauling mail that had careened off the freeway to the street below leaving the driver trapped.

Firefighters worked to stabilize the postal truck and freed the trapped driver before transporting him to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

A red Audi R8 with front-end damage was located unoccupied on the freeway above.

Officials believe the driver and passenger of the Audi R8, both male adults, fled the scene on foot.

Witnesses reported the Audi was traveling at speeds of over 100 MPH prior to the crash.
