Journalists are 'out of touch'

Journalists are 'out of touch' The Australian’s Gerard Henderson says “there is not one report about any kind of protest” inside the Rod Laver Arena, where former Australian tennis player Margaret Court was honoured on Monday night.

Tennis Australia has been criticized for honouring Ms Court on the 50th anniversary of her Grand Slam win because she did not pledge her support for homosexual marriage.

Mr Henderson told Sky News host Andrew Bolt Ms Court was “extremely well received” at the Australian Open and it was a “triumph for her and for everyone who admires her career in tennis”.

“The ABC were lecturing Tennis Australia not to go anywhere near Margaret Court because of how unpopular she was” which he said showed how “many journalists are out of touch”.
