Chennai: Cops get specially-designed motorbikes for patrolling

Chennai police have got five specially-designed motorbikes for patrolling the city roads. Now, cops will move around on these high-powered 250cc bikes. The specially-designed bikes come with a public addressing (PA) system to communicate with the control room and public. These vehicles are also equipped with sirens, flasher lamps and GPS tracker with each vehicle costing around Rs 2.50 lakh. This is the first time that the city police force has got high-powered bikes to get hold of the lawbreakers.
