FUT ~ Follicular Unit Transplantation
Since FUE does not leave a linear scar (like FUT), patients can cut and style their hair without restrictions.
With FUT, the donor area will be left with a small linear scar, which can be hidden by the hair around it. Patients are advised not to cut their hair too short (i.e. below a number 3).
With FUT procedures the grafts are extracted under microscopes and there is a lower transection rate (damaged grafts).
