Learn how to blend gray hair with highlights and using Koleston Perfect in this step by step tutorial from Wella Professionals. Wella Passionista Nikki Clifford demonstrates how to create a low maintenance look for your blonde client who is starting to go gray.

Color Formulas:
Highlights:Blondor multi lblonde powder +1.9% ( 1:1,5)
Root color: Koleston Perfect 40g 7/18+ 20g 7/0 + 60g 6% (1:1)

Toner: Koleston Perfect
A 20g 10/16 + 10g 10/31+ 60g 1.9%
B 15g 10/16 +15g 10/8 + 60g 1.9%

Step 1
Alternate a weave and a slice for your foils. Working in a diagonal pattern starting at the sides. As you come closer to the crown, space out your highlights.

Step 2: Weave through the top section in a diagonal manner.

Step 3: Apply your root color. Develop for up to 40 min.
Tip; using a low developer for your highlight gives you time to work with precision without over processing your foils.

Step 4: Rinse and remove using ColorMotion+

Step 5: Tone the roots with formula A for a cool beige blonde and formula B with some added coolness to take care of the brassy ends.

To style use Oil reflection smoothening oil for a glossy soft finish.
